Sunday Saunter to Greenwich

A ride to Greenwich instead because of the forecast. We'll go to Oxleas woods another time.

An extension of our route to Eltham Park South, Oxleas Meadows is just a little bit further on.
This ride takes us through Downham, Mottingham, Avery Hill park and Eltham to reach Oxleas Meadows. The route is undulating, but nothing too steep until we reach our destination where the path becomes a challenging hill.
We will have a coffee stop at the Oxleas Woods Cafe with its wonderful views.
We will then continue going down through Kidbrooke and Blackheath into Greenwich park, cut through to Greenwich High road and then back along the Waterlink Way. If time allows we will detour into Castle Wood and have a look at Severndroog Castle while we are in the area.

This is an undulating route, challenging in terms of distance and also because there are a couple of tricky junctions and some stretches of busy roads. You should be confident about riding in traffic.
