Starting point

We will ride up to the City via the Waterlink way, Peckham and Walworth, crossing the river at Blackfriars bridge. We will make our way to Postman’s park via segregated cycle paths and some City streets, (which might be busy) passing through Paternoster Square.
After admiring the Memorial to Heroic Self-Sacrifice in the park, we will ride through Cheapside, and have a coffee stop in the charming Cafe in the Church of St Nicholas Cole Abbey.
We will head back through the City and cross over Southwark bridge and return on C14, C1 and the Waterlink Way.
This is a longer than usual ride; it is mainly flat, with a few climbs. We ride on a mixture of mainly traffic free and quiet roads. There is the possibility, however that some roads in the City may be busy and you should be a competent and confident rider in such traffic conditions. We will try and maintain a steady pace of about 10 mph to keep to the timings in the information details.
Please only sign up if you are sure you will make the ride.
Please call the leader, Jacqui Turner on 07456840924, if you have booked but there are problems on the day.
