June will see HSBC UK Breeze turn 10 and we want to celebrate the success of the programme in Hertfordshire with a Relay linking all 10 Districts in the County. We would love you to join in and celebrate with us.
This ride is open to individuals identifying as female and will be led by a female Breeze
Champion/Guided Ride Leader. This ride is suitable to those individuals who are confidence in riding a bike but there is no fitness
requirement. These will be steady and social rides where no one gets left behind.
This ride will go from Hemel to Harpenden return to hemel for a short break before continuing the journey by riding to Leavesden and back. The first half of the ride is on the Nickey Line
this is traffic free and will be approx. 12 miles long. The surface is not a paved, it will be compacted however if there has been recent rain then there will be area of mud and not suitable for road bikes we wil encounter traffic as the Nickey line crosses the roads. The second half of the ride is all on road, a mixture of smaller quieter country roads as well as a few slightly busier roads.

Participants will require their own bike and helmet. Please dress appropriately for the predicted weather conditions.

In view of COVID-19 we will be taking the following regulations into account with our ride leading and we will follow all local govt. guidelines. Please note the following:
• We will not share any equipment so please bring your own drink and hand sanitiser, and it is suggested that you bring your own spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump if you have them.
• You should pay particular attention to your bike being in good working order before attending a ride so as to minimise risks and disruption to rides.
• At arrival at the start location, and when stopping in a group please keep to social distancing regulations of 2m.
• We will ride taking social distancing into account.
• Participants must not attend a ride if they have COVID-19 symptoms, have been in contact with anyone with symptoms or have been told to self-isolate.

You can contact the leader directly via the ‘Message Ride Creator’ tab in the ride posting.
