This is ride will take us from just outside Windsor to the Blackwood Arms public house in Burnham Beeches where we'll stop for lunch, rest and chat.   Burnham Beeches is famed for its ancient woodland of beech & oak pollards, therefore we'll have ample opportunity to admire the beautiful autumn colours.

We start at Queen Anne's gate and head towards Windsor and then pass through Clewer village. We will then make our way up to the Jubilee River and head west towards Dorney and Burnham. We will eventually pick up the Beeches Way Cycle Route and head towards the lovely Burnham Beeches and the Blackwood Arms. Suitably refreshed we'll make our way back to our start via the Jubilee River again and Eton and Windsor town.

Please note the time estimate for this ride.  Part of the ride will be alongside the Jubilee River. This is mostly gravelly and hence our speed will be slower and we will be stopping longer than normal because we'll be having lunch. Also note that this ride is not suitable for road bikes with very skinny tyres.

It's a good idea to bring with you some water, some money for the refreshment stop, a spare inner tube & compatible pump for your bike and a waterproof. Hopefully by bringing the latter items, you'll need neither! We will need to park our bikes outside the front of the pub therefore please bring a bike lock with you. Finally, please dress for the weather and M-check your bike and tyre pressure for setting out.
