Make this one of your “winter day rides” and join the #BreezeThroughWinter campaign. We will cycle quiet country lanes and overall quieter roads, with a brief exception of the busier Hursley Road. We will meet at the front entrance to the Leisure Centre and will ride via Weeke through Sparsholt, Crab Wood, Standon, Hursley and back via Oliver’s Battery and Viaduct Way.

We will ride at a leisurely pace and enjoy the scenery. There are some uphills but lovely downs, too. The total distance will be 16.5 miles with the coffee stop towards the end of the ride. This is a ride for those with some cycling experience, it is ideal for anyone who would like to ride something a little longer.

Please bring some money and it’s also a good idea to bring some water and a snack. Dress appropriately for the weather (layers are a good idea in winter), maybe a set of lights (front and rear) just in case it is a dull day,and wearing a cycle helmet is strongly recommended. Please bring the usual kit in case of puncture; inner tube, tyre levers and pump and also bring a lock for use at the coffee stop. The Breeze Champions will help with any mechanical problems as far as they are able but are not trained or insured to mend your bike.

Be assured it will be a supportive atmosphere for everyone, we will ride as a group and there will be plenty of stops, and we never leave anyone behind.
There is a charge for parking at the Leisure Centre (£2.80 for up to 5 hours).

Please feel free to message me if you have any questions.
