Come and join like-minded ladies on this fund raising ride for The Brick Project which is a small project that delivers big results for the community it serves. It offers services to people who are homeless, in poverty or facing debt crisis. We will pay an entry fee of £10 per participant and if anyone also wants to raise sponsorship forms are available.

The ride is mostly traffic free canal side and will start from Leigh College Car Park to join the Leeds Liverpool Canal for a while before picking up a section of National Cycling Network’s Route 55 through Haigh Hall to Wigan.

The ride is approximately 22 miles and uses cycle paths, canal towpaths and quiet roads and is suitable for hybrids and mountain bikes although if there has been a lot of rain recently there would be some muddy puddles to add to the fun!!  There are some lock gates to navigate along the way and a few inclines to climb (but we aren’t too proud to push if necessary) before a well deserved stop at for lunch in Wigan
There will be plenty of rest stops and its advisable to bring along a drink and a spare inner tube just in case (if you don’t have one don’t let this stop you from taking part).  Also please wear a helmet and make sure you have suitable clothing.
Please log on www.breezebikerides.com and register on the ride to secure a place
Any questions contact either Margaret or Joy at [email protected]
