Breezing with Two left feet

Welcome to Breeze Wigan evening summer rides, we are an extremely friendly group and our regular riders are of mixed abilities, so everyone regardless of experience and ability is very welcome to join us. We especially welcome ladies who are taking their first pedals on their bike and want to gain confidence in a friendly supportive group. We dont ride a set speed we would rather ride to a pace where we can have a chat and get to know each other! We also welcome riders on E-bikes.

We will be riding along the Leeds to Liverpool Canal, on the towpath which is a mix of imprinted concrete and gravel paths.

Starting at Hockery Brook ( carpark opposite La Cava Wigan Road Hindley ) we will follow cycle route 55 then pick up the Leeds / Liverpool canal and ride through to Haigh Courtyard. The route is traffic free on our way to Haigh Courtyard where we will stop for a bite to eat and drink before we make our way back along the same canal tow paths.

It is advisable that riders bring along a spare inner tube, just in case of a puncture; Make sure you bring along some cash if you want to but a coffee or a cake !
