Bring me Sunshine

This lovely cycle is mainly off road on canal tow paths and trails with one main road to negotiate. It takes us along the estuary up to Lancaster and onto Morecambe where we will meet Eric on the sea front along the promenade.

We then continue along the main road through Kent's Bank up to the Canal Turn where we will stop for a nice Sunday lunch if you can manage it.
After we have been fed and watered we head back to Glasson Dock via the canal.

Please ensure your bike is in good working condition. Check your gears and brakes at least the night before.

Although helmets are only recommended by law and not deemed to be essential, anyone not wearing a helmet will be unable to join in on the ride, unfortunately.

Please bring spare inner tubes, tyre levers and pump. A lock for the cafe stop would be advisable.

Due to Covid, It is essential that all ride participants’ carry their own PPE that is mask, hand gel and tissues. The leaders will carry first aid consumables but you will have to apply yourself. The same applies for any punctures or bike maintenance guidance will be offered at a safe distance.

We are planing to stop at the Canal Turn Carnforth for lunch. Don’t forget some cash for the café stop, as some places do not take cards.
