Easy paced ride from Cutty Sark, Greenwich. Start/finish beside the foot tunnel entrance. It is surprisingly easy to take a bike on the Emirates Airline cable car at North Greenwich (although you do have to pay, £3.50 with Oyster Card etc). Route will go from the Airline to the Olympic Park then back via the Greenwich Tunnel (so not strictly under sea, but the Thames here is tidal and salty). Philippa and Amanda leading. Part of our Southwark Cyclists Healthy Rides series. This is a 3rd Saturday “+” ride taking 3.5 hours. More information on Healthy Rides at www.healthyrider.weebly.com. Southwark Cyclists is part of the London Cycling Campaign.

Fly across the river then tunnel back, taking in the Olympic Park on the way. We have done this route a few times and it is always great. Improvement this time will be the new ramp access to the Greenway. This is one of the regular Healthy Rides organised by Southwark Cyclists. For more information see www.healthyrider.weebly.com

Lots of traffic free paths on this route. Few short stretches of busy road on the return leg.

Coffee stop at one of the cafes in the Olympic Park. Stop at the Emirates Airline to board.

Remember you will have to pay on the Emirates Airline so bring Oyster or equivalent (£3.50).

First-timers welcome!
