Cakes at Bamptom

Last time we did this ride, it proved very popular. Starting from the Primary School at 10.00 am we'll be riding out via Shellingford and Hatford to Bampton where many of the outside scenes in the TV series Downton were filmed.The ride is best suited to road bikes and Hybrids but you can bring your E-bike or your mountain bike.

Our route is mainly on quiet country roads. We will be stopping at the Cake Element Bakery Cafe run by Ivan and Michelle. There is a bit of a climb on the way back as we come into Faringdon

Helmets are not compulsory by certainly recommended. Please bring a spare inner tube, a puncture repair kit and a pump. You will need some cash or your plastic for the cake stop (you can get coffee and cake)
