We start at the Car Park in Hailey Park (at the end of Radyr Road). We then head down the Taff Trail a short way then head out towards St Fagans before turning back towards Cardiff and the Bay. We will have a stop at Coffi Co Bayscape (please download the app in advance, although they do take contactless card as well). We will then cross over Pont y Werin Bridge and past Penarth Marina before heading over the Barrage. We then make our way past the Millennium Centre and back along the cycle lane on James Street to re-join the Taff Trail.

A lovely ride around Cardiff out through St Fagans and back over Cardiff Bay Barrage.

This is a mainly flat 19-mile ride with a few hills near the start of the ride, mostly along quiet suburban roads or roads with some dedicated cycle lanes and short section. This ride is suitable for most types of bikes.

We plan to have a Cafe stop in Cardiff Bay.

Please wear a helmet and bring money for the cafe. Also, make sure your tyres are pumped up, check that your bike is working, bring a spare inner tube and your helmet! Please be COVID AWARE and don’t ride if you have any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone covid positive in the last 7 days.

We never leave anyone behind
