Maindy Stadium

The route begins at Maindy Cycling Stadium , where there is free parking, toilets and cafe facilities. We will head West via initially traffic free paths but then onto suburban roads before heading out into the country lanes. A scenic route passing through many of the small villages in the Vale of Glamorgan, it is suprising how soon you can leave the City behind and find yourself on quiet country roads. We will pass through St Fagans, Peterstone- Super-Ely, Gwern Y Steeple, Pendoylan, past Llanerch Vineyard before the furthest point on the route of Welsh St Donats. On the way back we will come through Tredodridge and Clawdd Coch before routing through Peterstone Super Ely again. Closer to home we will pass Llandaff Cathedral before heading through traffic free paths in Pontcanna fields. Many optons for a coffee stop en route. The route is quite hilly in places and suits the fitter rider.
