We will ride approximately 5 to 7 miles (return) from Peterborough Central Park to Welland Road Recreation Ground and back to gain confidence on the road as well as building up stamina for longer rides in future. Depending on the group, we could ride towards Werrington and have a snack at At Last Tea Room if time allows. We can evaluate how everyone is feeling before riding any further. The aim is to get back to the Park by 12.30pm

An introduction into cycling on the roads and cycle paths by practicing basic bike handling skills. This is ideal for those that have just learnt how to ride to bike or if you have not cycled for a number of years

We ride in Central Park to practice basic bike handling and then ride a short distance on the roads in order to get to cycle paths for a traffic free experience. The distance will be built up over a number of weeks - we go as fast as the slowest rider and never leave anyone behind!

Lots of opportunities to stop to have a drink of water, take any photos and stop for a coffee at the end.

Water bottle, some change if you wish to stop for a coffee at the end, a well-fitting helmet, warm clothing (layers are best).

This ride is especially designed for those that are new or returning to cycling and would like to gain confidence in bike handling skills and riding on public roads and cycle paths
