Our Chasing Santa Christmas ride will take us through mainly quiet country lanes to Burston’s Garden Centre in Chiswell Green, although there will be one very short section of a busier road. We will be stopping for cake, sandwiches or a light lunch in the garden centre so please remember to bring your money and a lock for your bike. We will be riding approximately 17 miles at a pace that is best suited to the group, usually between 7-10 mph. As leaders we will ensure that no one is left behind so that everyone can have an enjoyable ride. Older children, or those who have completed Bike Ability Level 3 are welcome to come with an accompanying adult. Please arrive at our starting point at 9.15am so that we can leave promptly at 9.30am after the ride briefing. As it is so close to Christmas, please feel free to decorated your bike and yourself with festive decorations.
Please remember to bring,
Two spare inner tubes for your bike, even if you do not know how to change them, someone in the group will. As well as the appropriate tools (tyre levers).
A water bottle with a drink in, riding can be thirsty work.
Your cycle helmet, for your own safety
Appropriate clothing for the weather, as it can be cold and wet at this time of year.
