Starting point

Lancashire
PR7 1EA

The route passes through Buckshaw Village, Brindle and Houghton to Roach Bridge. From here we go to Salmesbury to meet the Guild Wheel to the Docks, then via Lea road to Roots cafe for lunch and hopefully mince pies.
Return ride is slightly different back to the Guild Wheel then crossing the Ribble to Whitestake and via the back roads of Leyland to Euxton then Chorley.

Total distance is 43 miles. The displayed route and profile is outgoing only. The shorter return route is pretty flat.

Unchallenging route, (contradicts the description I know!) to Roots cafe for lunch on a very varied route.

Mixture of urban, country roads and cycle paths

Lunch at Roots cafe.

Helmets are always advisable but not essential. Lights are a good idea. Money for lunch, though Roots do take bank cards.
