Christmas Jingle ride from Northwood to the Inn on the Park, St Albans

This festive ride to the Inn on the Park, in Verulamium Park, St Albans follows a pretty route along the Ebury Way a disused railway lines, and shared cycle paths through parks, quieter residential streets, and alongside busier roads. We’ll meet opposite Northwood Station, where there is a tree with a circular bench beneath, for a warm up and a quick bike check. Then we shall be taking quieter residential roads through Northwood to South Oxhey to join the Ebury Way and then we'll be following the National Cycle route 6/61 to St Albans. This is a gentle ride on a mostly flat traffic free and quiet roads, although there will be a few hills to give you a bit of a warm up. The total length of the ride is around 30 miles, that's 15 miles there and 15 miles back - even if you are a newcomer you are welcome to join to our rides. It’s a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments. Suggest you bring some extra layers for the chilly wintery weather We’ll be meeting up at 11am in the Inn with other Breeze cyclists cycling from various parts of Hertfordshire for a festive drink before heading back the way we came.
