Clean Air Day Commute - Newport (Dyffryn) to Cardiff (Newport Road)

A social commute taking in a very flat and quiet scenic route between Newport and Cardiff, heading through the housing estate onto the cycle path, along into Marshfield, through to St Mellons, down through Hendre Lake Park and cutting through Trowbridge to follow New Road back to Newport Road.

Anyone welcome to join but note that this is a ONE WAY trip from Newport to Cardiff, there is no return trip back to Newport.

Also note that the map and elevation chart below show the outward trip which leaves Cardiff at 7AM, on THIS ride we will be following the same route in reverse at 5PM to go back to Cardiff.

Suitable for all bike types.

Start Point 5PM:
Morgraig Avenue, just opposite the ASDA roundabout in Dyffryn. If early, please wait on the side of the pavement.

Finish Point estimated 5.45PM:
Avenue Retail Park on Newport Road (Magnet, Matalan, Homebase, M&S Food, Home Bargains, etc.)

I will be continuing on to Cardiff Bay via Splott if anyone wants to join me.
