To celebrate this years Clean Air Day we will start and end our ride from Mawbery Banks Nature reserve lower car park.
All new comers to Guided Rides & new E-bike riders are especially welcomed.

We will this year have the chance to explore more of Mawbray's quiet back roads & Allerdale's coastline via the newly opened Hadrian's Cycleway on part of our ride. Cycling at a gentle, leisurely pace with like-minded people.
This years ride will be slightly different as a "bring your own" picnic packed lunch to be consumed within the nature reserve at the end of the ride :) So no need to carry it with you on the ride.

There is a short main B road section through Beckfoot which will be managed for you with your safety in mind.

Always traveling at the slowest rider's speed with encouragement & support so no one is ever left behind. This will enhance your enjoyment of leisurely cycling within the safety of this group.

Please bring with you a packed lunch if you wish to picnic within the reserve at the end of our ride as there are no facilities open along our route to purchase refreshments, (your picnic can be left within your car instead of carried with you), we can then enjoy Clean Air Days out in the open theme for this year.
You will also need to bring a road worthy bike, your helmet, clothes you are comfortable cycling in, easy to remove layers work the best, a waterproof jacket, (as you never know) a cold drink & any small snack for along the way if needed, which can be eaten while we stop for our "vitals with a view" photo opportunities.

Please do not attend the ride if you have Covid symptoms, have someone in your household who does or if you have tested positive on a recent Covid test. Cancelling your place wont be a problem just let us know on the website before the ride so we are not waiting unnecessarily for you, especially if its raining.

All participants on a British cycling ride are now required to provide all their own cycling repair equipment to comply with self-sufficiency rules.
So you will need to make sure you are as self-sufficient as possible on the ride, to avoid sharing tools if any repairs are needed to your bike while on the move.
You will need to bring with you & carry your own cycle repair kit containing these spares as well as know how to use them. A spare complete inner tube that fits your bike, a set of tyre levers and a hand pump with the correct fitting for your inner tube valve are the minimum required.

Any questions about attending this ride please message the ride leader on the riders tab below.
