This enjoyable ride will be a great way to explore some of the best coast and countryside that north Liverpool has to offer!

Starting at Hall Road railway station, we will first explore Crosby Beach taking in Antony Gormley's Another Place installation before using the shared path to reach Hightown. A loop of Hightown will give us a chance to see the mouth of the River Alt before heading back and appreciating the reverse view towards Liverpool and across to the Wirral.

We'll then use quiet roads to take us through to the historic village of Little Crosby. We'll stop for refreshments at the beautiful 'The Courtyard' cafe which serves coffee/cake and light lunches. Please note the GF options are limited (but baked potatoes are available!).

We'll then head on through Little Crosby, exploring the old estate walls. We will cross Moor Lane on foot, and then continue north through country lanes. The scenery on the way to Lunt is beautiful and there's often lots of wildlife to see. There'll also be a chance to stop at a local farm shop and buy local honey (subject to availability, bring cash if you're interested!) and a quick detour to see if we can spot any birds at Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve.

The last leg of the route goes through Broom's Cross, crossing residential streets in Thornton to reach Rimrose Valley Country Park where we join a shared path heading south. A few more roads after Rimrose will then bring us out to Crosby Marina before heading back up to Hall Road railway station to finish the ride.

This is a flat ride, and we'll go at a steady and leisurely pace. Riders should be comfortable riding in a small group on quiet roads. We will have to cross one main road, however this will be done on foot.

All types of roadworthy bike are suitable for this ride. Please bring a helmet, water and snacks, a spare inner tube in case of a puncture, and cash for the cafe stop. Sunscreen may be required if it's a nice day, and layers are advised as it can be windy on the coastal path. As the second part of the route goes through farming land, please consider using antihistamines if you have hayfever!!

We're a friendly bunch and never leave anyone behind. Come and join us!
