Saturday 16th February 2019 10:00am

Starting from - Meet at Messingham Millenium Showground. From the mini roundabout on the A159 at the North end of Messingham, turn East on Holme Lane. The car park is about 600 yards on the left. If your bike is on a roof rack, please watch out for the height restrictor at the entrance!
The route is best suited to road bikes or hybrids with road tyres, but a mountain bike or something with fatter tyres is ok as long as you are confident of doing the distance. We expect to be doing an average of 12 mph, which of course means sometimes faster and sometimes slower but no-one will be left behind.
Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand for bike checks and briefing to enable a prompt start at 10:00. Helmets are strongly recommended. Please bring a spare inner tube that fits your bike and a working pump. Oh and some cash for a coffee, ice cream, or whatever takes your fancy. Given the time of year please dress for the weather and bear in mind, if you are used to going faster, it might feel cold keeping with the group.

A mostly flat, all tarmac 28 miles from Messingham. Heading west down to the River Trent (you won't see the water but trust me, it's there! )Then a pretty road through Laughton Forest and up to our coffee stop at Blyton Ice Cream Parlour, before returning via Northorpe and Scotton on the back road to Messingham.
