Coniston

Ride around Coniston Water - the location for Malcolm Campbell's record water speed attempt.

A great traffic free start to the ride on the west side of Lake Coniston with the remainder on gently undulating roads. The route meanders around the lake offering tantalising glimpses of the water and the Coniston Old Man.

South of Torver there is a section of A road before turning up the hidden east side of the lake on very quiet roads when the ride passes Brantwood, home of John Ruskin.
