We leave the start point at Grimeford village and ride to Horwich for our first climb from Chorley New Road to Chorley Old Road through some tight winding lanes. We continue over Scout Moor to Belmont, where we head over the reservoir towards Blackburn Road and Chapeltown.
We head over Whittlestone Head and Blacksnape. Looping back through Darwen to Belmont and over towards Brinscall, Chorley and back to Grimeford village.

This is the 5th and final road ride in the Conquer & Climb series for Horwich Ride Social Ladies group. As per previous rides the route is designed for ROAD BIKES only please. Numerous climbs throughout the route.

Mostly B routes on country lanes. Some steep ascents and descents and narrow lanes.

There will be a planed refreshment stop but riders should bring plenty of drinks and snacks as the first part of the ride is the most challenging.

Helmets are always advisable and riders should be aware that they will not be allowed to ride with the group without one. Please be equipped with your own personal protection equipment/hand gel etc. Money for refreshments if required

This is the 5th and final ride in the C&C road ride series for ladies. It is a very challenging route with a good deal of hill climbing involved. The first one being within 3.5 miles. Participants should be of reasonable road riding fitness and confident with the distance and elevation.
