The Central London Outdoor Group (CLOG) (founded 1937)
http://www.clog.org.uk has one easy cycle rides in the countryside nearly every week between March and October ranging from 20 to 35 miles. These are easily accessible by public transport from London and are on quiet roads or cycle paths.
By bike we explore rivers, canals, forts, castles, coast, marshes, gardens, woods, ruins, churches, mansions, cycle-ferries, churchyards, villages, lost railways....

We will be cycling out of Chelmsford on the cycle route through a series of tiny essex villages until we stop for morning coffee and cake after 10 miles at Snug Cafe

How do I get there?
Be on the train that departs Stratford at 10:09 getting into Chelmsford at 10:34 am. This train starts from Liverpool st.

• June 2018 Ruthr valley cycle route: Mountains, forests and lakes, historic cities and industrial heritage. Own bikes, Overnight ferry from Harwich and train
• Early July Baltic sea trail Lubeck to Stralsund. Own bikes, Overnight ferry from Harwich and train
• Late August Jutland.
• Late September Dolomites to Carinthian Lakes
