Join Martin & Lesley ride leaders on this cycle ride to take part in a taster session of croquet at Coronation Park, Radcliffe. The cycle ride is free but there is a £5 fee on the day for playing croquet. No experience of playing is needed, and all equipment is provided. Members of Bury croquet club will be on hand to show you how to play. If you are cycling in cleats please bring alternative footwear so you don’t damage the croquet lawns. Please only book onto this ride if you are willing to give the croquet a go.

Starting from outside Luciano’s at Middlebrook we head off onto the Middlebrook trail coming off at Heaton cemetery and weaving our way through Bolton, past Leverhulme Park and going through Moses Gate country park using the Manchester, Bolton and Bury canal towpath. Then from Nob End we join the road to take us to Whitefield and Radcliffe to our Croquet destination at Coronation Park. We’ll enjoy a couple of games of croquet, there will also be time to eat your packed lunch. We then set off back through Radcliffe and pick up the Bradley Fold cycle way to Bolton town centre and back onto the Middlebrook trail.

Helmets are mandatory on this ride. Please ensure your bike is in good working order and bring a spare inner tube in case of a puncture. Please bring a packed lunch/snack which can be eaten at the croquet club. Tea/Coffee/Squash is provided.

First-timers welcome!
