Dave's Roker / Shields coastal circular

Heworth Leisure Centre to Washington then on to Roker passing under the new Northern Spire Bridge then joining the coastal (NCR 1) route to South Shields on shared cycle paths. We will take a break (18 miles) and call in to Minchella for food and drink, then it’s on to Jarrow passing the Shields Ferry terminal, Port of Tyne at Tyne Dock, St Paul’s Monastery (NCR 14). We continue along the B1297 drop down Ellison Street past the old Hawthorn Leslie shipyard then along the river cycle path (NCR 14) to Bill Quay Farm then up Fisherwell Road where we pick up the Keelman's Way at Pelaw Metro station taking us back to Heworth Leisure Centre.
There is also an option to stop for a break at Roker 12 miles (Bungalow Café or Sue’s Café or if you’re really posh, Fausto)
