DCH Ride Social Gade Valley View

This route is ideal for families and anyone looking to boost their confidence on a bike! :) The short ascents and descents are ideal practise for learning your gears in a supportive and fun group.

We will leave Dacorum Cycle hub via the rear of the car park out through the path signed no cycling, walking approx. 50yrds to the beautiful bridleway turning left and cycling to the junction with Cupid Green lane. We’ll follow this lovely and sometimes sunken lane together onto Dobbs lane stopping opposite the driveway of Wood Farm at the base of an Oak tree. There, we will be able to see the amazing view over Gade Valley and maybe all the way to Bridens Camp or even Nettleden if the weather is clear. We then return to the Cycle Hub together cycling back the way we came.

We recommend gloves and layering up for Winter rides.
Please check your bike is in good working order before the ride - especially that your brakes are working & your tyres are pumped.
Please bring a spare inner tube in case of a puncture - as changing an inner tube is faster than getting out the rubber glue. The Ride Leader can help if anyone in the group has a puncture on the day. Dacorum Cycle Hub sell inner tubes from £4 new, or recycled ones for 50p patched, £1 with no patches, should you need to purchase one.
