Delph Via Parbold
This ride starts at the Farmers Arms in Burscough then turns east along the winding lanes of West Lancashire, towards Parbold and the infamous hill. Do we ride up?
The ride turns through Parbold village and then winds around the country lanes crossing over the M6 motorway and then turning north onto the A49. The ride then swings around back across the motorway and pauses for refreshment at the Eccleston Delph Dive centre.
No swimming please.
We then head back along the country lanes towards Mawdesley and Rufford and back to the start finish point at the Farmers Arms where we can gather for post ride refreshment.
We'll ride at a steady pace of 10 - 12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together.
Remember, this is not a race, but a leisurely ride at a pace to suit the slowest in the group!
Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, helmet & lights checked and ready. Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock.
It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you.
Please be at the start point at least 15 mins before the ride start time, ready to ride, so that we are able to get away at the stated start time of 10.05
