SA1 8EN

There is a great, traffic-free route between Swansea University's two campuses, following the sweep of Swansea Bay. Much of the route is obvious, although it can get a bit confusing near the Marina and along Fabian Way, so why not join some of the Uni's British Cycling trained ride leaders who ride the path every day, to discover a cheap, healthy and (above all) fun way of travelling between the campuses.

Meeting at the Santander Bikes stand outside the School of Management, we leave the campus before going under Baldwin's Bridge to the path on the far side of Fabian Way and then following the path around the back of the park and ride. We then take the waterfront path around Prince's Dock then cross the river Tawe over Trafalgar Bridge to meet the riders coming from Singleton, with a brief coffee stop at the Coast Cafe. Riders then have the choice of which campus to continue to - either carrying-on to the Park Campus along the seafront path, or returning to the Bay.

The whole route is traffic free (although there are a few road crossings) and almost flat, and surfaced, so suitable for all types of bike.

All you need is a roadworthy bike (check tyres and brakes before setting off) and a helmet. Don't have your own bike? Because we will be starting and finishing at a Santander Bikes station, there is always the option to hire a bike for the trip.
