Breeze Durham Spray Paints

Starting at County Hall we will cycle along traffic free trails to Witton Gilbert where we will stop to see the first mural. Then after a long but steady climb on road up to Sacriston we will visit two more mural locations and then we have one last cheeky climb up and over Daisy Hill with fantastic panoramic views of Gateshead and Durham on our way. We will arrive at our last mural of the ride at Edmondsley. From here it’s a lovely downhill stretch over Waldridge Fell and back along the cycle path next to the A167 then via Framwellgate to our starting point.

The ride is suitable for those who are used to riding at least 10 miles and any type of bike. This is County Durham so hills are a feature but they are steady and what goes up must come down!

As always we can’t predict the weather so please dress suitably for the weather on the day.

In order for the ride to leave promptly, please be punctual so we can carry out bike checks, etc. prior to us setting off. Please make sure your bike is in working condition and bring a spare tube to fit your tyres. Expect to be out for about 2-3 hours.

We will pause on the route to look at the paintings so please bring and drink and snack to keep you energised

Helmets are advised. Please bring working bike lights as this is an evening ride, just incase we are still out when the light is fading as it is getting later in the summer season.
