Durham University Discovery Ride - STAFF AND STUDENTS ONLY

On cycle path towards Shincliffe then a short stretch on Mill Lane and up Bent House Lane to Dragonville where we will visit the entrance to Renny's Lane, junction of the NCN Route 14 to Seaham or to Whitehaven. From there we will descend back down Bent House Lane past Durham Old Gardens and along the river paths to Baths Bridge. On the return we will pass Cuths Landing and Durham Amateur Rowing Club and the Rugby Club before reaching Maiden Castle.

Cycle path and some quiet roads

No refreshment stops planned en route, however Maiden Castle café has a great selection of drinks and snacks.

Please come dressed appropriate for the weather and ensure that you wear tangle free clothing. Lights are also advisable as we want to stay as visible as possible to any traffic.
