Undulating route around the Vale. There will be uphill (and downhill) sections but we will go at a steady pace and regroup at the top of hills and wait for everyone. We'll stop en route for a break and a natter. The roads in the Vale are still quite muddy and wet if there is rain in the few days before the ride, so expect to get a bit wet even if it is not raining.

17.5 mile loop around the rural Vale, starting at Dyffryn Gardens, and stopping for a cuppa en route.

Mostly rural lanes and quiet roads, we will do a very short section on the A48 and a very short section on Five Mile Lane, which can be busy.

We will stop for a cuppa en route. Thinking of the Aubrey Arms pub in Bonvilston, which is just over half way round and just after the biggest hill on the route.

Bring helmets, snacks (as pub may not have a great selection), money for coffee stop, bike locks, warm and waterproof clothing and gloves, spare tube and tools in case of a puncture and lights for your bike if you have them.

We never leave anyone behind
