Finding it hard to get off that couch and onto your bike?
Come and join us for one of our Easy Back 2 Basics Autumn Guided rides.
The ride will start at Cockermouth High School were there is ample parking.

We will be travelling along quite country roads and cycle ways out from Cockermouth so be prepared for some managed up hill climbs. On the up side we include a socially distanced drinks/snack break or if preferred by group members our own "vitals with a view".

We always travel at the slowest rider's speed with support and encouragement, so no one is ever left behind. This is to enhances our enjoyment of leisurely cycling within the safety of our group.

This is a beginners ride for people interested in doing more leisure cycling.
The ride is led by an experienced British Cycling trained coach, so if you need any advice or help starting or getting back into that saddle for this ride just message me on the conversation tab below.

All new comers are very welcome, this also includes e-bike rider's with a fully charged battery.
Please bring with you a road worthy bike, your helmet, clothes you are comfortable cycling in, easy to remove layers work best, a waterproof jacket, as you never know, a cold drink for along the way & a snack for our alfresco stop if needed.
A spare inner tube that fits your bike is required as is a hand pump with the correct fitting for your inner tube valve, (just in case).

Participants are required to consider safety first, particularly minimising the risk of infection/transmission and the risk of injury (so riding to your known abilities is key), as not to place further pressure on the NHS.

Participants must not attend rides if they have Covid-19 symptoms, have someone in their household who does or who are in the extremely vulnerable category or if they have been asked to remain at home by the UK Government track and trace system.
Participants are also required to provide their own equipment.
So a must is your own hand pump with the correct connection for your inner tube valve.
The essentials are;
1. Tyre levers,
2. Inner tube that fits your bike,
3. Puncture repair kit,
4. Pocket sized multi tool
5. Hand sanitizer & water bottle, any food/refreshments if required for the designated break stop and you must avoid sharing any of the above.

At this stage using face masks or coverings is a personal choice but it should not restrict your breathing.
We will be riding 'one metre plus mitigations' away from those who are outside your household, in a small group of 6 or fewer, rather than needing to maintain two metres.
The 'mitigations' listed by Government include being outdoors and being side-to-side (avoiding face-to-face contact), both of which are achieved in group riding.
