Finding it hard to get off that couch and onto your bike?
Come and join us on our Sunday Morning Easy Back 2 Basics Guided rides.
We will be travelling along quite country roads and cycle ways where ever possible to include a socially distanced comfort/snack stop.
This ride will start at Cockermouth High School were there is ample parking.

We always travel at the slowest rider's speed with support and encouragement, so no one is ever left behind. This is to enhances our enjoyment of leisurely cycling within the safety of our group.
This is a beginners ride for people interested in starting to ride more with likeminded people.

Please bring with you a road worthy bike, your helmet, clothes you are comfortable cycling in, easy to remove layers work best, a waterproof jacket, as the weather can change quite quickly and a cold drink for along the way. Also see list below.
All new comers are very welcome, this also includes e-bike rider's with a fully charged battery

Due to new guide lines from British Cycling the advice below MUST be adhered to:

Participants must consider safety first, particularly minimising the risk of infection/transmission and the risk of injury (so riding to your known abilities is key), so as not to place further pressure on the NHS.

Participants must not attend rides if they have Covid-19 symptoms, have someone in their household who does or who are in the extremely vulnerable category or if they have been asked to remain at home by the UK Government track and trace system. Participants are required to
provide their own equipment.
A must is your own hand pump with the correct connection for your inner tube valve.
The essentials are;
1. Tyre levers,
2. Inner tube that fits your bike,
3. Puncture repair kit,
4. Pocket sized multi tool
5. Hand sanitizer & water bottle, any food/refreshments if required for the designated break stop and must avoid sharing any of the above.

At this stage using face masks or coverings is a personal choice but it should not restrict your breathing.
Participants should wash/sanitise their hands after the ride & while attending any ride breaks. During & when leaving the ride participants must maintain social distancing.
Riding 'one metre plus mitigations' away from those from outside your household, in groups of 6 or fewer, rather than needing to maintain two metres.
The 'mitigations' listed by Government include being outdoors and being side-to-side (avoiding face-to-face contact), both of which are achieved in group riding.
