Easy going- family friendly ride to Glasgow Science Centre

From Burnside we’ll head along quiet local road to Overtoun park we’ll then join the cycle path passing through Rutherglen to Shawfield stadium. After passing through Glasgow green then along the cycle path on the broomielaw. Then onto the science centre where we can take a break, so please feel free to bring drink and snack.

( the only roads were on is between Cafe gelato & Overtoun park, so if you have children or are not comfortable on the road we can have an additional start & end point at the Overtoun park gates opposite Broomieknowe road @6:45. Please let me know if you want start & end at the park and we’ll meet you their)

Children are welcome . Please bear in mind that we will be on quiet roads down to Overtoun park and may have to cross some roads or junctions on way to Glasgow Green.

For safety reasons this ride is only suitable for children aged 10+


This ride is aimed at riders who are new to cycling and want to cover a few miles in the safety of a group.
Please feel free to bring a drink and snacks.

Easy going ride is a great place to start and work up to participating in harder rides.

* please note in order to participate in the ride a place has to be booked as we are only able to take 8 riders * if anyone turns up without a place booked will be unable to participate on the ride.

Easy paced ride from Burnside to Riverside Museum

Mostly on traffic free cycle paths.

Helmets advisable and please bring puncture kit.
