To encourage more women to either start or return to cycling, I am leading a series of easy paced rides on Sunday mornings throughout January. An excellent way to start New Year fitness, and they're fun, friendly and FREE!!

The rides will initially be between 7 and 9 miles long and will follow quiet roads/off road cyclepaths, getting slightly more challenging each week to build confidence.

This ride takes us along the Wandle Trail again, through Morden Hall Park, past Deen City Farm and on to Merton Abbey Mills. Here we'll turn around and stop for coffee at Morden Hall on the way back. #################################################################

I plan to do a further series of rides during February, either a repeat set, or if a keen group forms, more challenging up to about 20 miles, but still using off/quiet road routes as much as possible. I am passionate about sharing my love of cycling and showing people routes around the local area - I hope you can join me.

As an extra incentive, Breeze Through Winter 2019 takes place between 1st January and 28th February. All those who complete 4 rides during this period will receive a gift from Breeze to celebrate the achievement.

Most bikes are suitable for these rides, but please note that some sections may be hard packed gravel.

If time allows, we may stop for coffee and a chat halfway through, or at the end of the ride.

You will need to bring a bike in good working order (especially brakes), helmet, drink, and ideally a spare inner tubes do lock. It is not necessary to wear cycle specific clothing, but please make sure that it is appropriate for the weather conditions (no loose bits - many thin layers are best) and of course gloves.

First-timers welcome!
