End of the yEra ride to Dummer

To celebrate the end of a wonderful year and our love of cake we are off to More of the Good Stuff. Unfortunately they are relocating and this will be our last visit to Dummer Down Farm :(

Weather permitting our 38 mile route will take us out of Dogmersfield and into the lanes towards Odiham. We’ll pass through Upton Grey and Herriard before descending down the hill to Axford. From there it's only a short distance to the cafe at Dummer where we will take a well earned break for coffee and cake.

Our route home will take us through some quiet lanes where weather permitting we’ll stop to take in the beautiful views through the village of Dummer and on to Farleigh Wallop. The lovely descent into Cliddesden awaits us after the climb to Farleigh Wallop and we’ll head back to Fleet via Newnham, Rotherwick and Hartley Whitney.

We will meet on the corner of Pale Lane outside the Barley Mow Pub at 9.20 so we are ready to set off promptly at 9.30 We are aiming to be back by 14.30 (3.5 hours cycling / 13 - 13.5mph average).

The wearing of a helmet is mandatory for this ride. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a waterproof if you aren't wearing it. Also, as we'll be riding for up to 2 1/4 hours before our cafe stop please bring enough food and drink to last you for the ride. Also, bring a spare inner tube and pump.

NOTE: This ride is for the more experienced rider who is capable of tackling some hills and sustaining an average speed of around 13 - 14mph over the distance.
