The 2nd pick up will be at approximately 9:20 to 9:30am outside Sainsbury’s Lordshill District Centre, 1, Southampton, SO16 8HY. In front of the supermarket entrance by the bike racks.

The 3rd pick up will be at approximately 9:50 to 10:00am outside St James Park Cafe Shirley, Southampton, SO15 5SD

The route will leave at 9am from The Co-op at North Baddesley Crossroads, where will pick up the shared cycle path to Rownhams. Then on a short stretch of road to the City Boundary, on reaching Lordshill we will join the cycle path and continue to Lordshill Shopping Centre, for a brief stop to pick up some riders. Then we will continue through Shirley Warren on a quiet suburban roads, then cross Winchester Road and into Shirley. Then we take a short section of cycle path up to The cafe at St James Park to pick up further riders. We then have a short ride to Southampton Common, then follow the cycle path to London Road and into the City Parks. We will then take a short ride to St Mary’s to join the event, ready for the opening ride at 11am. So plenty to see and do all day. There won’t be a formal cycle ride back, as people will want to leave at different times, but speak to leaders on the day to help guide you back if you need it.

Special feeder ride from North Baddesley to Southampton Let’s Ride Event at St Mary’s. With a pick up at Lordshill Sainsbury’s and St James Park, Shirley.

Much of the route will be along shared cycle paths, quiet roads, suburban streets and City Parks.

We will be stopping at Lordshill Sainsbury’s to pick up joining riders at 9:30am, and a final pick up at St James Park in Shirley at 10:00am. Cafe and Toilets are available at both.

Waterproof clothing is advisable as we are going to an outdoor event, as is a well fitted helmet, a bike lock a pump and spare tubes.
