This ride will give a challenge, for cyclists ready to take on a few hills in the company of other riders. Beginning at the DCH and riding for approx. 8 miles. Taking mainly a road route down into the valley of Hemel Hempstead and through the park to find the beautiful spire of St Mary’s church, then onto a garden centre for coffee and cake. Returning back up the country lanes to the cycle hub to complete our ride. As leaders we will ensure that no one is left behind, so that all of the group can have an enjoyable ride. We will be riding at the pace of the slowest rider approx. 5-7 mph, maybe a little slower uphill, where walking is always an option.
Please remember to bring,
Two spare innertubes for your bike, even if you do not know how to change them, someone in the group will, as well as the appropriate tools (tyre levers)
A water bottle with a drink in, riding can be very thirsty work.
Cycle helmet, for your own safety.
Money for our coffee/cake stop
Appropriate clothing for the weather
As we will be riding on the road please consider adding lights to your bike and wearing high vis clothing to assist other road users to see you.

This ride would suit newer riders, who would like the experience of descend/ascending slightly more challenging hills.

We will be riding on mainly quiet road and some shared cycle paths.

During our ride we will be stopping at a local garden center for coffee/cake and a chat about future rides that you might like to undertake.

We never leave anyone behind
