Starting from Dinton Pastures this ride will take us through some quiet lanes and ‘B’ roads out to Shurlock Row, and then skirting around Jealotts Hill we head out to Hawthorn Hill, Beenham Heath, Shurlock Row again and then through Hurst to the start point
.
We have two options for tea and cake with this route – we can either stop at Fernygrove Farm Shop at just over the half way point or at the café in Dinton on our return – the group can decide which option we take on the day.
Children under sixteen are welcome however they must be accompanied by at least one parent, and should be comfortable with riding on the road in with a group of other riders.
We will take a number of photos before, during and after the ride which will be posted on the Fat Lad At The Back Facebook pages.
If you wish to join us on this ride then please register your interest here, and also join our Facebook page at
www.bit.ly/flab_berkshire where any last minute changes etc are likely to be announced.
For everyones enjoyment and safety please read our ride advice and tips on our Facebook page, and the ‘Lets Ride’ terms and conditions page - Please note that helmets are compulsory on ALL FLAB organised rides.
Bike Maintenance is crucial for you and the group to enjoy the ride. On route punctures can and will happen, so please be sure you have at least one spare tube and the tools to fix it. You will have plenty of people willing to help, so no need to worry. Also making sure your bike is well maintained will make the ride easier for you and your bike will last longer. Any questions please ask before or during the ride. We will be happy to help.
Note – at this time of year the weather can change quickly, and last minute changes or cancellations whilst unlikely can occasionally occur – please check our Facebook page before setting off to the meeting point – any last minute changes will posted on the Facebook page by 8am.
