An interesting, rolling road ride around the Trent Valley - rarely flat but rarely steep, a bit of a tester for post winter legs. Starting from Elvaston Castle car park we will head out on mainly quieter lanes for a loop around some of the villages in the Trent Valley, including historic Repton, with a café stop somewhere on route to warm up/revive as appropriate.

As always, pace will be determined by the people at the back of the group, no one will get dropped or left behind, but we would be looking at 10-12 mph average on a road ride. There are some steady uphills and one or two fast downhills, and a couple of short sections will be on busier roads. Suitable for any bike but knobbly mountain bike tyres will make it harder work.

Bring a working bike, a working helmet, a working sense of humour, some money for the car park and café stop, and an inner tube to fit your bike tyre.

Please register for the ride on here so that I can keep track of numbers.
