FLAB Social Ride South Derbyshire 25/03/2018

A gentle ride around rural South Derbyshire. There are a couple of reasonable climbs but mostly flat. The ride takes place on mostly quiet roads and smaller country lanes, traffic should be very light although we will cross a couple of main roads. Starting from Hicks Lodge National Forrest Cycle Centre we head out around some of the villages of south Derbyshire including Donisthorpe, Overseal, Coton in the Elms, Edingale, Harlaston and Clifton Campville finishing at the Cycle Centre cafe to refuel.

The ride is best suited to Road or Hybrid bikes. Pace will be determined by the slowest riders, nobody will be left behind. There are a couple of climbs but the total gain is around 1000ft so nothing too steep. The ride is intended to be a fun and social experience in an all-inclusive spirit, not a race!

The ride will commence around 9:45 so please be there for 9:30, meeting point will be outside the cafe at Hicks Lodge.

Please ensure you bring a suitable bike helmet and some money for parking and refreshments. Also please register for the ride on letsride so I can understand the group numbers.
