So on this ride we are going to up the game a bit. This ride is a fairly hilly one but when get over the far side of Jacksonville the views are beautiful so if you want to stop and take some pictures please let me know.
We are starting at a new car park, New to me anyway, Strawsbridge in Ilkeston and we will be making our way around the back of Ilkeston but we are going to hit the roundabout near Tesco’s, that then takes us up to where we will turn right into MFN. This part can be a fairly rough bit of road so please be careful and point out to others if theres potholes. So on the other side we will make our way through to Moorgreen and on to Underwood and Jacksdale, its really pretty around here and you’ll be so glad you’ve rode these hills. There are a few so if you’re confident with hills you’ll be fine and we always wait at the top.
Onwards to Golden Valley, Leabrooks and Swanwick, this is an all road ride and some of the roads can be fairly busy.
We will make our way through Ripley town centre which can be busy and on to Denby where we stop for the all important coffee and cake at the pottery centre.
After a short stop we will make our way to Kilburn where we will turn right and on to Horsely Woodhouse, Stanley Common and back to the carpark at Strawsbridge.
Ensure you wear helmets, have everything you need in case of puncture and money for the cafe.
I wouldn’t say this was tough but maybe challenging so if you’re confident I’ll see you for this ride.
