FLAB Social Rides Northumberland - Amble to Low Newton by the Sea

We leave Amble down the Warkworth old road before joining the coastal cycle path and heading down to Alnmouth. We will then ride out to Boulmer before heading inland to Longhoughton. We then ride up the coast via Craster, through Embleton before turning right down to Low Newton.

The return journey is similar but shorter and we ride down to Embleton but turn off and follow the direct route down to Stamford and back to Longhoughton, We head down Boulmer hill and rejoin the cycle path once we get back to Hipsburn and the head back into Amble.

Great ride heading up the Northumberland coast to the quaint village of Low Newton

Majority of this ride is on tarmac roads. There is a section on the outward and inward journey on the coastal cycle path which is also tarmac.

No visit to Low Newton would be complete without a visit to the Ship Inn at. There will also be opportunities for additional refreshment stops depending upon how people feel at the Stable Yard in Craster.

Please wear helmets, dress appropriately and bring a mask. Also bring a spare inner tube/puncture repair kit, pump and drinking water and snacks.
