Summer of Cycling Flying on the Breeze

Cycling down the Bridgewater canal to Astley, we'll head off on the quiet road over Irlam Moss to City Airport. After a break we'll use the designated cycle path back to Peel Green and pick up the Salford Greenway back to Monton. A lovely flat route ridden at a leisurely pace suitable for beginners

The route is a mixture of canal paths, quiet roads and designated cycle paths, suited mainly for hybrid or mountain bikes

This will be a social ride with plenty of time for chat and we'll have a break at the Sopwith Smokehouse situated at the City Airport, Barton where we can grab a brew and watch the aircraft taking off and landing

Helmets are mandatory and you should carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit. Your bike must be in good working order.
