A circular route to Folkestone Gardens and returning via St Nicholas's church in Deptford. We will ride to Catford and up through Ladywell fields and Brockley to reach Nunhead cemetery, the second largest, although perhaps the least known, of the seven great Victorian cemeteries established in a ring around of what was then the outskirts of London. (We may amend the route if the cemetery path is too waterlogged.) We will continue via quiet roads, crossing the Old Kent Road, cycle through Bridgehouse Meadows, and along the Surrey Canal Road to Folkestone gardens where we will have a coffee stop at Cafe Honle.
We will return via Deptford Green and the Waterlink way.
Please only sign up if you are sure you will make the full ride; ensure you are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions and that your bike is in good working order. Double check your details on your lets ride profile are up-to-date, in particular that we have a phone number for you. If you don’t have a mobile put your home number in the mobile phone box.
Please call the leader, Jacqui Turner on 07456840924, if you have booked but there are problems on the day
