Today - The Ouse, Stoney and Wolverton

A historic route around Wolverton and Stoney using the unique MK Redways (NB short sections of quiet rural and suburban roads). Explore the heavy industry and transport routes that gave the foundation of the New City for over 2,000 years. Find out why the vikings thought MK was 'out of bounds'. Travel the route of the largest tram in the world! Marvel at the Ocean Going ships built 100 miles from the sea! Discover why Wolverton Ladies liked their bloomers!

It's a fascinating morning ride - bring some snacks!

Every Saturday in June we’ll be offering guided bike rides around 5 new cultural trails.

All rides are at a leisurely pace with plenty of time to stop on route to take in the view, visit a cultural destination or park up for a picnic.

These rides are perfect for anyone. We warmly welcome beginners, families, those wanting to find a new cycle routes, explore MK or be around like minded people. Our rides are led by very friendly, experienced and knowledgeable cyclists. We ride at the pace of the group and never leave anyone behind.

Where: Starting locations will vary every week. The full schedule is shown below.
What time: Meet at 10am, expect to return around 1 / 2pm
How far: Approximately 10 miles (with interesting stops on route)

Saturday, 2 June - This Ride – Great Linford Shops. MK14 5HA. Meet by the Santander Cycles MK docking station,
Saturday 9 June – Caldecotte Lake, Caldecotte Arms, MK7 8HP. Meet by the Santander Cycles MK docking station.
Saturday 16 June – Willen Shops, MK15 9JL. Meet by the Santander Cycles MK docking station.
Saturday 23 June – MK Museum, McConnell Drive, Wolverton, Milton Keynes MK12 5EL.
Saturday 30 June – Meet at the Santander Cycles MK docking station at Fulmer St, Shenley Church End, Milton Keynes MK5 6HP

Booking is essential. Book here to secure your place on a ride.

No bike? No problem! All of our rides depart from a Santander Cycles MK docking station. If you require a Santander Cycle simply register with Santander Cycles MK before the ride, let us know you need a bike a couple of days before ( [email protected] ) and we’ll make sure the docking station is fully stocked that morning.

There is no docking station at the Museum but if you let us know we'll try to arrange for your Santander Cycles MK bike to be waiting for you. (Thank you for your amazing support Santander Cycles MK!).

A note about helmets: We encourage all riders to wear suitable helmets, but for those under the age of 18 helmets are mandatory on these rides.
