This ride starts from the car park at Centurion Way retail park, Bentley, with meet up time at 6.30pm and ride departing at 6.45pm.

A mix of on and off road riding with what is described by British Cycling's mapping tool as a "rolling" terrain - basically there's a few climbs involved in between a predominantly flat and/or downhill ride. There is one challenging climb into Cadeby from Denaby Ings Nature reserve and the only other climbs worth mentioning is the ascent from the River Don bank by the side of the viaduct at Conisbrough (it's a tough one for all but the fittest, but a pleasant enough walk) and the climb along the TPT just after the Earth Centre though this is the easiest of the 3 climbs on the ride. Dont let the up hill bits put you off though, if you want to walk up that's absolutely fine, and you'll still get the benefit of all the down hill runs. There are a number of options on this route for pub stops to rest and refresh so we can decide on the day which one to stop at. Make sure you wear your helmet (this is compulsory, if you have no helmet you wont be able to ride with us) and appropriate clothing for the weather (if you have any bright or hi-viz then wear that). As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre ride checks; you should also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump, and tools to enable you to change a tube if necessary. Dont forget too to bring money for refreshments and a mobile 'phone.
