Starting point

G40 1AT

Doulton Fountain, which will be just outside the Go Live at the Green event perimeter.

This ride is a women-only ride. You can bring your child/children, although it is probably best suited to older children (11+) as the route includes a pretty steep and strenuous hill that leads up to Cathkin Braes.

We'll meet beside the Doulton Fountain at Glasgow Green, then cycle to Carmunock, where we'll stop for refreshments. We'll then cycle to Cathkin Braes, where the men's mountain bike race starts at 2.15pm:

Anyone wishing to watch the race can leave the ride here, however the rest of us will make our way back to Glasgow Green.

Please note that the hills make this a fairly challenging ride, however we will be rewarded by spectacular views. The route will include travel via cycle paths, roads and parks.

Please make sure your bike is in good working order, dress for the weather, bring food/water to fuel you during the ride and carry puncture repair supplies.

This ride is brought to you by Glasgow 2018 https://www.glasgow2018.com/ and Scottish Cycling, British Cycling and Glasgow Life, and is led by trained British Cycling ride leaders.
