A steady 17mile ride from Leavesden cycle hub in Leavesden Park to the beautiful Gorhambury Estate in St Albans, returning through Verulamium Park and Potters Crouch. We'll be stopping for a cuppa and a cake at the Llazy Llama cafe in Chiswell Green. There are hills en route but no one is left behind. This is a sociable ride with time to take in the lovely views and the historic ruins of Old Gorhambury. Toilets are available en route. Please ensure your bike is mechanically sound beforehand, bring spare tubes and tools in case of puncture, and ensure you have alternative means to get home if you are unable to fix it. Looking forward to seeing you there!
We will be riding a mixture of quiet lanes and off road paths suitable for hybrid bikes and road bikes with wider tyres.
