Lindsey Lodge Hospice is run as an independent charity to provide specialist care to people with any progressive life-limiting illness, and supports their family and carers during illness and into bereavement.
To celebrate the opening of its new Cake Lounge open to the public (yes, even us), this ride will take us to sample the delights of this new facility.
This ride is a Graceful Greens - a little faster, now that you are feeling more confident, these rides will be at a steady pace average 9 –11mph. However, no rider will be left behind.
Starting from The Angel car park in Brigg, we will ride through Hibaldstow, past the deserted Gainsthorpe village, and beyond Messingham towards the Trent. We will head towards Lindsey Lodge for refreshments, so don’t forget your pennies! At this point, there will be an option to contribute to a collection for hospice funds.
After the break, we will continue through Bottesford and Holme (looking at the Pink Pig fondly on the way), then back up to Greetwell, Scawby, and back to Brigg.
If you have any specific medical requirements which may be relevant to the ride, please ensure the ride leader is aware of them at the start of the ride – feel free to have a quiet word.
As with all our rides, helmets are recommended, and I strongly recommend you bring the appropriate inner tubes for your bike, with the tools necessary to change them. You will also need to bring a drink (and snacks) for the ride, and money for the cafe.
